I was just reading up on how to wire up LEDs (no, I’m not terribly good with such things, but a project demands that I get to it and learn sharpish) and noticed the amazing Instructable on making a ‘Mad Scientists Light‘! Now, the video above is not of the one in the instructable – instead, one shown in the comments beneath by Tazzz, but it shows very well that by following the Instructable tutorial, and with a bit of Steampunk theming, you can have quite the marvelous looking (and very bright) feature light.

Good stuff, and nicely Steampunk. Alas – as I have no luck with LEDs, I fear attempting something like this would be far too much like golfing in a storm. Small steps. chuckles
